The client has said that they can not use images or music relating to Blur or Oasis.

They are thinking along the lines of a tag line like:

"If you thought Brit Pop was all about Blur and Oasis, then you missed all this!"

.... something like that anyway.

The idea we have at the moment still works, but we have to play down the fight at the party scene. As long as we keep the characters generic enough then there isn't a problem.

They also don't have any grunge music on their label, so we will have to produce some royalty free grunge sound ourselves. A chat with the music tech students might be in order.

  1. Hi Karl Impey here, I am head of group C, working on the 2d animated Britpop party scene. The are animatic is all put together for a final look on Friday morning, before being final sent off. Every one is putting in a great effect and pulled it together today.

I was not sure how to upload image directly to the blog so I created an album on my photobucket. I just picked out a few images that I felt worked well to show off how the party is coming along. After the feed back we added more moments from the party itself making the fight lass of a focal point of this story section.

  2. Hi this is Emma, team leader for group B also doing 2d. We are animating the battle between the grunge army and the Britpoppers. We finished our animatic today and everyone worked really hard to get it completed. We weren't told to change any of our initial storyboard ideas so we went on developing the original concepts. The animatic was good and looked even better with the selected music track. I think everyone just needs to carry on working hard and practice working on the computer programs so that we can speed up production.
